Lake Mary has grown since the late 1980s into an office, retail and industrial city concentrated along I-4. Companies with operations in the area include AAA, Mitsubishi Power, Deloitte, Liberty Mutual, Bank of America, Verizon and JPMorgan Chase, and Dixon Ticonderoga has its headquarters here. Trucks reach those campuses and business parks on a few busy roads, and when one of them stops, RDI Power sends a mobile technician from Brooksville with the tools to find the fault and, wherever the job allows, fix it on the spot. There is no RDI shop in Seminole County; the technician and the service truck come to you.
I-4 through Lake Mary, where 1 vehicle in 7 is a truck
FDOT’s 2025 inventory counts about 14,726 trucks a day on I-4 near Lake Mary, 14.8% of 99,500 vehicles, close to double the truck share on I-4 near Altamonte Springs. A planned I-4 Beyond the Ultimate segment would carry express lanes through this stretch, from SR 434 to US 17/92, but it was still in planning and design. When a truck stops on I-4 here, give us the direction, the last exit and whether the truck is on the outside shoulder or the median side. If it can reach an exit and a lot without risk, that is usually a far better place for the repair than the edge of the interstate.
Lake Mary Boulevard between I-4 and the SR 417 interchange
Lake Mary Boulevard is the city’s main east to west road and its link to I-4, and the SunRail station sits near Lake Mary Boulevard and Country Club Road. To the east, SR 417 has a diamond interchange at CR 427 (Lake Mary Boulevard and Ronald Reagan Boulevard) that serves Orlando Sanford International Airport. A box truck that quits on Lake Mary Boulevard usually has a side street or a parking lot within reach. If it can roll there safely, let it, and tell us the nearest cross street when you call.
SR 417 and the Lake Jesup toll plaza east of Lake Mary
The CR 427 interchange sits just north of the Lake Jesup toll plaza on SR 417, where FDOT counts about 10,191 trucks a day near Lake Mary, 20.1% of the traffic. SR 429 carries about 4,200 trucks a day nearby at 15%, and US 17/92 about 4,532. On the expressways, the shoulder routine matters more than the speed of the repair: hazards, warning devices, people well away from the truck, then a call with the direction and the nearest interchange or mile marker. The technician will decide on arrival whether the shoulder is a safe place to work.
Corporate campus lots along Lake Mary’s I-4 corridor
A truck that stops at an office campus loading area or in a business park lot is a different kind of call. Many of those properties have gates, security desks or rules about outside service vehicles. Tell us the property name, who to contact for access and exactly where the truck sits, so the technician is not stuck at the gate. A firm, level spot with room for the service truck alongside makes the repair quicker, and if the truck is blocking a dock someone else needs, say so and we will plan the visit around it.
What happens on a Lake Mary service call
The technician scans the truck, reviews codes and live data, and tests the system the evidence points to before replacing anything. RDI’s diagnostic capability includes Ford IDS for Power Stroke trucks and WiTECH for Ram, plus heavy-duty software for tractors and vocational trucks. Plenty of jobs finish on site:
- Weak batteries, loose or corroded cables and tired starters
- Alternators and charging wiring
- Belts and coolant hoses, and leaks at fittings within reach
- Fuel filters, water separators and air in the fuel system
- Sensors and wiring that trigger a derate, and DEF faults
- Air leaks and brake chambers on air-brake trucks
A digital vehicle inspection with photos documents the visit, so whoever approves the bill sees what the technician saw. On-site repairs carry the same 3-year / 36,000-mile labor warranty as shop work, and the 2-year / 24,000-mile fleet warranty applies on RDI Fleet accounts.
Lake Mary repairs moved to the Brooksville bays
Our shop on Donto Way handles what a parking lot cannot: teardown-level engine work, transmission rebuilds, alignments and anything that needs the truck up in the air. We plan that move with you after the diagnosis, so the truck arrives with a known problem and the parts already lined up.
