Mobile diesel mechanic and truck repair in Celebration, FL

Trucks bound for Celebration's offices, hospital campus and town center come in off I-4, US 192 and the SR 417 Southern Connector. When one stops, an RDI technician comes out from our Brooksville shop to diagnose and repair it on site.

Disney planned Celebration on about 4,900 acres at the southern end of the Reedy Creek Improvement District, and it was laid out as a town, not a freight hub. Its working side is offices, a hospital campus and a town center: several Disney business units still fill office buildings here, Celebration holds the only Class A office buildings in Osceola County, and more than 500 registered companies do business in its plazas and office park. The diesels that deliver to and service those buildings arrive from outside, on a handful of big roads. RDI Power’s mobile technicians cover those roads and the lots at the end of them, driving out from our shop in Brooksville.

Breakdowns near I-4 exits 62 and 64

I-4 is the heaviest truck road in the picture. FDOT’s 2025 traffic inventory puts about 17,483 trucks a day on the busiest segment near Celebration, roughly 10.5% of 166,500 vehicles. Two exits matter most: exit 64, where US 192 leads to AdventHealth Celebration, and exit 62, where SR 417 heads north toward Disney World and Celebration. The Moving Florida Forward program added 2 lanes between US 27 and World Drive, with the work done by April 2025, so the lane layout on that stretch may not match what a driver remembers.

When a truck stops on I-4, the details that help most are the direction of travel, the last exit passed and whether the truck sits on the outside shoulder, the median side or an exit ramp. A truck on the exit 64 ramp is a different job from one in the median west of exit 62, and the technician plans the approach before leaving.

The SR 417 Southern Connector, where 1 vehicle in 5 is a truck

Trucks make up 20.1% of the traffic on the busiest stretch of the SR 417 Southern Connector near Celebration, about 9,548 a day out of 47,500 vehicles by FDOT’s count. That share is roughly double what I-4 carries here. On a toll road like this one, a stopped truck usually has nowhere to go but the shoulder, so the call should include the direction, the nearest interchange and any mile marker in sight. If the truck rolled to a stop with warning lights on, snap a photo of the dash before shutting the engine off; some faults clear when the key cycles.

World Drive, US 192 and the Celebration town center

Inside Celebration the routes are local. World Drive, one of the town’s main streets, runs straight into Walt Disney World near the Magic Kingdom. US 192, which MetroPlan Orlando counts among the region’s other important freight corridors, carried about 2,814 trucks a day near the town in FDOT’s 2025 inventory, and the Osceola Parkway (CR 522) adds about 1,360 more.

A box truck or van serving the town center, the office park or the hospital campus may stop in a parking lot or at a loading area instead of on a highway. Those calls are often simpler, provided there is firm, level pavement beside the truck with room for the service truck and space to walk around both. Let us know who controls the lot and whether anyone has to approve the visit, so the technician is not turned away at the curb.

Repairs a technician can finish beside a truck in Celebration

Nothing gets replaced until the truck has been scanned and the fault confirmed. RDI carries dealer-level diagnostic capability, including Ford IDS for Power Stroke trucks and WiTECH for Ram and other Stellantis models, plus heavy-duty scan tools for tractors and vocational trucks. Once the cause is proven, common on-site fixes include:

  • No-crank and slow-crank failures: batteries, cable ends, grounds and starters
  • Charging faults traced to an alternator or a damaged wire
  • Split coolant hoses, broken belts and leaks at reachable fittings
  • Plugged fuel filters, a full water separator, or air trapped in the system after filter service
  • Sensor and harness faults that drop a truck into a derate
  • Air leaks, brake chambers and slack adjusters on air-brake trucks
  • DEF system faults, and a parked regeneration when the system allows one

Each visit closes with a digital vehicle inspection: photos of what the technician found and notes on what was done, delivered to whoever approves the work.

When a Celebration breakdown needs the Brooksville bays

Some failures should not be repaired in a parking lot. Internal engine damage, a transmission that has to come out, alignment work and anything that requires a lift go to our only shop, at 1665 Donto Way in Brooksville. When that is the call, the technician explains what failed and shows you the evidence, and we plan the move with you: when the truck can be spared, how it gets to Brooksville and what the shop will tackle first. The on-site diagnosis travels with the truck, so nobody starts from zero.

Celebration questions

Can a technician reach a truck that broke down on I-4 between the Celebration exits?
Yes. I-4 near exits 62 and 64 is inside our mobile service area. Tell us the direction of travel, the last exit you passed and whether the truck is on a shoulder or a ramp. RDI Fleet accounts can call 24/7; other customers can call weekdays from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Will you repair a delivery truck parked at a Celebration office park or the town center?
Yes, when the truck sits on firm, level pavement with room for the service truck beside it and the property allows the work. Tell us who manages the lot so access is arranged before the technician arrives.
Do mobile repairs in Celebration carry the same warranty as work done in the shop?
They do. On-site repairs carry RDI Power's 3-year / 36,000-mile labor warranty, and repairs on RDI Fleet accounts carry the 2-year / 24,000-mile fleet warranty.
