Mobile diesel mechanic and truck repair in St. Cloud, FL

St. Cloud sits on US 192 and US 441, with Turnpike access at Clay Whaley Road and ranch country to the south. RDI technicians come from our Brooksville shop to diesels that stop anywhere along the way.

St. Cloud had 58,964 residents at the 2020 census and has grown quickly since. Its main highway is US 192 running together with US 441, a six-lane road crossed by north to south avenues. Florida’s Turnpike passes close by, and southern Osceola County is still cattle country. When a diesel stops in or around St. Cloud, RDI Power sends a technician from Brooksville with diagnostic tools and parts to repair it where it sits, whether that is a job site, a yard, a ranch or the shoulder. We have no shop in Osceola County. The service truck carries what a roadside repair needs, and our Brooksville bays handle the rest.

Canoe Creek Service Plaza, mile marker 229

The Turnpike’s Canoe Creek Service Plaza, at mile marker 229 in the St. Cloud section, has 35 public truck parking spaces and fuel around the clock, though Florida’s Turnpike prohibits overnight parking at its plazas. If a truck on the Turnpike is acting up but still safe to drive, the plaza is a far better place to meet a technician than the shoulder: paved, level and away from traffic. FDOT counts about 12,120 trucks a day on the Turnpike near St. Cloud, 20.1% of the traffic, so the shoulder is no place to linger. If any red warning is lit, though, do not push for the plaza; stop safely, set out the triangles and call from where you are.

Clay Whaley Road, Nolte Road and St. Cloud’s Turnpike access

St. Cloud’s current Turnpike access at Clay Whaley Road serves only Orlando-bound traffic. It is to be replaced by a diverging diamond interchange at Nolte Road, listed as exit 240 and under construction. Construction zones change lane layouts and shoulder space, so for a truck stopped anywhere near that work, give us the nearest exit number and mile marker rather than a road name, along with the direction of travel. The signs at exits 242 and 244, where the Turnpike meets US 192 and US 441, list St. Cloud along with Kissimmee and Walt Disney World, and those exit numbers make good reference points too.

US 192 and US 441 through St. Cloud

Inside the city, US 192 and US 441 share six lanes, crossed by the avenues that run north to south. FDOT counts about 3,660 trucks a day on the segment from Cross Prairie Parkway to Neptune Road, 6.1% of 60,000 vehicles. For a breakdown on US 192, the nearest avenue or cross street and the direction of travel are what we need. Six lanes of traffic make the curb lane a dangerous place to stand beside a truck, so if it can turn into a lot safely, take it there, and tell us the name of the business.

Ranch roads south of St. Cloud toward Kenansville

Southern Osceola County is still ranch country. Deseret Ranches, which spreads across Osceola, Orange and Brevard counties with a section around Kenansville, is described as the most productive cow-calf ranch in the United States as of 2026. Mobile service goes to farms and ranches: farm trucks, cattle haulers and stock trailers repaired on the property. For a ranch visit, tell us the gate, the road in and where the truck is, and try to have it on firm ground; a pasture after a summer rain can swallow a service truck. For more on farm and ranch trucks, see agriculture.

Roll-off and dump trucks at St. Cloud job sites

St. Cloud runs a city transfer station open Monday through Saturday, and private haulers need a franchise agreement to provide roll-off containers for Class IV solid waste. If your roll-off or dump trucks work St. Cloud job sites, the technician comes to the site. Firm ground beside the truck and room for the service truck are the main requirements. Tell us whether the truck is loaded and whether a container is on the hoist, since that changes how the technician approaches the job.

St. Cloud repairs: on site or in Brooksville

When the fault is one a service truck can handle, the technician finishes it on site after confirming it with a scan and a direct test. That covers a lot of ground: dead batteries and failed starters, alternators that quit charging, split cooling hoses and thrown belts, plugged fuel filters and full water separators, sensor and wiring faults, DEF problems, and air leaks, chambers and slack adjusters on tractors, dump trucks and stock trailers. Every visit is documented with a digital vehicle inspection and photos, and on-site labor is covered by the 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty.

When the fault is internal, the plan changes. Engine teardowns, transmission rebuilds, alignments and lift work go to our shop on Donto Way in Brooksville, and we arrange the move with you.

From US 192 to the ranch gates south of town, the call starts at (352) 433-3800, answered Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. An RDI Fleet account adds around-the-clock roadside help; St. Cloud fleet maintenance has the details. I'm so happy with the service I received from RDI Power. I was told by another shop that I had a transmission leak in my diesel truck. Not only did the staff at RDI Power correctly diagnose my issue (which was not a leak), they were able to resolve the issue...

These guys are awesome, from Joe the service writer to the owners and all the folks in between. They communicated every step of the way and researched alternatives to my myriad of issues. Kudos all around.
