Holiday counted 24,939 residents at the 2020 census, and it sits right on the Pinellas line. A fleet based here crosses that line all day. US 19 runs north and south through it, Alt 19 ends here at US 19, and SR 54 begins at US 19 near Holiday and runs east toward Zephyrhills. GoPasco Route 18 links Holiday with New Port Richey and Tarpon Springs. Our fleet program, RDI Fleet, gives operators here maintenance that follows the vehicles: preventive work done where they park, a written plan per unit, and pictures of every finding.
Holiday fleets working both sides of the Pinellas line
FDOT’s 2025 counts show how much freight moves through Holiday. US 19 carries roughly 61,000 vehicles a day here, and about 1 in 10 of them is a truck. About 2,412 use SR 54 between US 19 and Grand Boulevard, and about 1,683 use Alt 19. FDOT’s Pasco freight overview lists both US 19 and SR 54 as Strategic Intermodal System highways.
For a fleet manager, the important part is not the county line but the duty cycle. Units working this corridor spend their days in signals, merges and turning traffic. That puts the wear on brakes, starters, batteries and exhaust aftertreatment more than on long-haul components, and the plan should reflect it.
What goes into a Holiday RDI Fleet plan, unit by unit
We build the plan from your list of vehicles. For each one we record year, make, engine, mileage and hours, where it parks and what it does all day, then set:
- An interval. Miles, engine hours or calendar time, whichever reflects how that unit actually works.
- A checklist. Fluids and filters on the engine and fuel system first, then the parts a merge-and-signal duty cycle punishes: brake linings measured with a gauge, air system leak-down on air-braked units, starter draw and battery load tests, regeneration counts pulled from the engine computer, and every stored or pending fault code.
- An inspection date. Units that need an annual federal inspection get it during a PM visit.
- A budget line. Findings are sorted into now, soon and later, so you can plan spending instead of reacting to it.

Trailer and tractor pairs on US 19 and Alt 19 in Holiday
A tractor is only as reliable as the trailer behind it. In a plan, each trailer gets its own interval for brakes, lights, wiring, tires and wheel bearings, but its visit is timed to match the tractor it usually pulls. The pair is serviced together, and the combination comes off the road once instead of twice. Air connections, glad hands and 7-way plugs get the same attention as the engine, since those are the parts that fail at the side of the road.
Yard visits and priority shop time for Holiday units
Technicians come out from Brooksville on dates set around your operation, when a group of units is parked and nobody is waiting on them. If some of your vehicles park on the Pinellas side, we plan around that location as well. One visit handles several units.
Engine overhauls, transmission jobs and anything needing a lift move to our Brooksville bays instead. Holiday units on a fleet account go to the front of that line, and the downtime is booked so your routes never run short.
Buses and shuttle vans on Holiday’s Route 18 corridor
Route 18 is a reminder that buses and shuttles share these roads with freight. If your operation runs passenger vehicles, from a church bus to a fleet of shuttle vans, they fit on the same plan as your trucks. Brakes, doors, suspension, air systems and the electrical load of a passenger vehicle are checked on a calendar, so the work lands before a busy week instead of during it. Our bus service and repair page covers that side of the work.
Fleet warranty, records and 24/7 roadside in Holiday
Every visit produces a digital vehicle inspection with photos and technician notes. Kept over time, those records show the service history of each unit and the cost of keeping it, which makes replacement decisions a matter of evidence. Fleet repair work is backed for 24,000 miles or 2 years, whichever comes first, and if a unit dies on Alt 19 at midnight, fleet customers still have a number that answers.
For a single breakdown, see mobile diesel repair in Holiday. Up the road, our Elfers fleet maintenance page focuses on aftertreatment care for SR 54 trucks, and RDI Fleet maintenance explains the program in full. To begin, phone (352) 433-3800 and describe the vehicles you keep on the road.
