Garden Grove is small, 776 people at the last census, but the roads around it are busy: US-41 through the middle, the CSX line beside it, and the airport’s industrial park next door. Mobile diesel repair sends an RDI Power technician to a stopped truck anywhere in that area, with dealer-level diagnostic tools and the equipment to repair on site. When the job needs a bay instead, our shop is about 7 road miles and 13 minutes from the middle of the community.
Garden Grove landmarks to give the technician
These reference points get a technician to your truck without a second phone call:
- The Technology Center. The airport’s business campus is at 15800 Flight Path Drive. Give the business name and the gate you use.
- Spring Hill Drive (CR-574). It ends at US-41 along the airport’s north side, an easy junction to describe.
- Powell Road (CR-572). The northern edge of Garden Grove.
- Broad Street (US-41). The water management district headquarters at 2379 Broad Street and The Trails of Rivard Golf and Country Club across from it make good markers on this stretch.
- The CSX tracks. They run along the east side of US-41, so say which side of the highway you are on.
Add the make, the engine, whether the truck is loaded and what it did before it stopped.
Industrial park yards at the Garden Grove airport edge
More than 100 businesses work out of the airport’s industrial park. If yours parks diesel trucks there overnight, a mobile visit can be more than a rescue. A technician can handle oil and filter service, fuel filters, brake and tire checks, battery and charging tests and code scans where the trucks sit, so they start the next day ready rather than spending a morning at the shop. Operators who want that on a schedule can set it up through RDI Fleet.
The airport’s 600-acre Westside Aviation Expansion Zone, funded by a $13.6 million federal grant, is adding new roads and utilities. If your trucks are working that job, a technician can come to the site.
Roadside safety on US-41 in Garden Grove
US-41 through Garden Grove is a main highway with rail beside it. If a truck quits, get it as far from the travel lanes as you can and turn on the flashers. Never leave a truck on railroad tracks, and do not try to restart a stalled truck there; get clear first. Stay away from the traffic side of the truck while you wait. Call (352) 433-3800 with the location; on weekdays the shop answers from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and RDI Fleet accounts have roadside assistance at all hours.
On-site fixes and shop handoffs in Garden Grove
After a scan confirms the fault, many repairs can be finished at the truck: batteries, cables and starters, alternators and belts, coolant hoses, air leaks and brake chambers, fuel filters and priming, and the sensor or wiring faults that set a derate. Each visit is documented with a digital inspection, photos and notes.
When a truck needs internal engine work, a transmission repair or a lift, we plan the tow to Donto Way with you, and the roadside diagnosis travels with it. For the shop side, see diesel repair in Garden Grove. The complete on-site program is on our mobile diesel repair page, and trucks stopped farther south on Broad Street are covered under mobile diesel repair in Masaryktown.
