By the city’s own count, Kennedy Space Center is 19 miles from Titusville across the river. Some 17,701 civil servants and contractors worked at the center in 2025, and SpaceX and Blue Origin both run facilities there. The roads that feed all of that pass through or alongside Titusville: I-95, SR 405, SR 407 (Challenger Memorial Parkway), SR 50 and US 1, with SR 528 just to the south. RDI Power has no shop, office or staff in Titusville or anywhere in Brevard County. Our technicians come out from Brooksville with dealer-level diagnostic tools and the equipment to repair on site, and the call before they leave is where we decide together whether the truck can be fixed where it is.
I-95 and Challenger Memorial Parkway near Titusville
FDOT’s 2025 inventory puts about 8,878 trucks a day on I-95 near Titusville, 19.3% of roughly 46,000 vehicles. Challenger Memorial Parkway, SR 407, carries about 2,070 trucks a day at a 20.1% share, so 1 vehicle in 5 there is a truck. SR 407 is the spur that heads north from the I-95 and SR 528 interchange toward Kennedy Space Center and Titusville.
On I-95, your direction and the nearest exit or mile marker are what we need. If you are northbound and made it as far as the rest area north of SR 46 at Exit 223, which has 33 truck parking spaces, say so; it is a far better place to wait than the shoulder. On SR 407, the nearest crossroad and your direction are enough. Wherever the truck stops, get it as far off the lanes as possible, set your triangles and stand clear.
SR 405, US 1 and Space Coast Regional Airport in Titusville
Space Coast Regional Airport sits at SR 405 and US 1 on 1,650 acres, owned by the Titusville-Cocoa Airport Authority and billed as the closest commercial airport to Kennedy Space Center. The city promotes an airport industrial park for aerospace and logistics users, and Foreign Trade Zone 136 lies inside city limits. SR 405 carries about 1,820 trucks a day and SR 50 about 2,280. In this part of town, the airport, its industrial park and the cross street are the landmarks that get a technician to the right gate.
Construction sites at Space Coast Innovation Park in Titusville
Space Coast Innovation Park, a Hines and Key Group project off Perimeter Road and Grissom Parkway next to the airport, totals 1,104,760 square feet of industrial space on more than 100 acres. The city reports a $5.8 million state award to build a 3,200-foot access road between the park and the airport. Separately, Lockheed Martin announced in January 2025 a roughly 225,000-square-foot Titusville facility, with operations expected in 2027. Projects at that scale put dump trucks, mixers, equipment haulers and crew pickups on job sites around the airport.
A breakdown on a site like that is a job-site call. Tell us which gate to use, whether the site requires a safety orientation or sign-in, and who will meet the technician. Firm ground matters: if the truck can move off fresh fill or soft sand onto a compacted pad or pavement, move it. Our construction page has more on dump trucks, mixers and other vocational units like the ones on Titusville sites.
Repairs that never leave Titusville
The technician starts by proving the fault. Ford IDS reads Power Stroke trucks, WiTECH reads Ram, and heavy-duty software covers Freightliner, Mack, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo and Western Star. Codes and live data point to the tests, and the tests point to the part.
Electrical failures are some of the most common fixes: a battery that will not hold a charge, a corroded ground strap, a starter that clicks or an alternator that quit charging. Air system leaks on tractors and dump trucks are next, from a cracked line to a failed brake chamber or slack adjuster. Fuel problems, such as a plugged filter, water in the separator or air drawn in after a filter change, usually end on site. So do many sensor and harness faults behind a derate, and most belt, hose and accessible coolant leaks.
The visit is written up on a digital vehicle inspection, photos and technician notes included.
Titusville trucks that need the Brooksville shop
An overhaul, a transmission rebuild or any repair that needs a lift will not be done on a job site or a shoulder. When a Titusville diagnosis lands there, we plan with you how and when the truck makes the trip to Brooksville and what your project schedule looks like while it is out. The work done on site carries over, so the shop begins with a known failure. RDI Power’s labor warranty runs 3 years or 36,000 miles; RDI Fleet repairs carry 2 years or 24,000 miles.
First call from Titusville
RDI Fleet accounts have 24/7 roadside assistance. For everyone else, the Brooksville shop answers (352) 433-3800 Monday through Friday from opening at 7:00 AM to closing at 4:00 PM. Titusville sits close to the edge of our mobile range, so expect a candid estimate of when a technician can arrive, never a guarantee. If you serve or served in the military, police or fire, the 10% heroes discount applies.
For planned maintenance, see Titusville fleet maintenance. Trucks stopped to the south near the Beachline are covered on our Port St. John mobile diesel repair page, and the full program is described under mobile diesel repair.
