From River Ridge, our Brooksville shop is about 29 road miles away. That distance is the reason mobile diesel repair exists: a truck that will not start in a River Ridge yard, a tractor stopped on the Ridge Road Extension or a van stuck at a job site should not have to ride a tow truck for 40 minutes if a technician can fix it where it sits. RDI Power’s technicians bring scan tools, a stocked service truck and the experience to make that call on the spot.
River Ridge landmarks that guide a technician in
River Ridge has clear reference points, and naming one gets a technician to you faster than an address alone:
- Ridge Road (CR 524). The main east-west road. The Pasco-Hernando State College West Campus sits at 10230 Ridge Road on 140 acres, impossible to miss.
- Town Center Road. The first stop on the Ridge Road Extension, 0.4 miles east of the junction, opened in August 2020.
- De Cubellis Road (CR 587). Where CR 587 now runs; it meets Ridge Road near the River Ridge development and continues north as Moon Lake Road.
- Suncoast Parkway Exit 25. The Ridge Road interchange at the east end of the extension.
- Schools and the golf club. River Ridge Middle and High School, Cypress Elementary and the River Ridge Golf and Country Club are all mapped inside the community.
- Starkey Wilderness Park. The big park to the southwest, linked to the Parkway’s Suncoast Trail by a connector.
River Ridge addresses read New Port Richey in ZIPs 34654 and 34655, so tell us River Ridge by name when you call.
Breakdowns on the Ridge Road Extension and at Exit 25
The extension and the interchange are recent additions, opened in stages between 2020 and 2022 to link Ridge Road with the toll road. A truck that stops there needs to get out of the travel lane before anything else. On a ramp, tell us whether you were getting on or off the Parkway and in which direction. On the extension, say whether you were eastbound toward the Parkway or westbound toward De Cubellis Road, and how far you were from Town Center Road.
While you wait, do not keep cranking an engine that refuses to start; it only drains the batteries the technician needs to test. Note the warning lights on the dash and have the unit number ready.
Work a technician can finish at a River Ridge yard or job site
On-site jobs that frequently send a truck back to work without a tow:
- Reading codes and live data to find the real fault
- Swapping a failed battery, starter, alternator or corroded cable
- Fixing a coolant leak at a hose, clamp or fitting, or replacing a broken belt
- Clearing a plugged fuel filter, draining water from the separator and bleeding the system
- Tracing a chafed wire or corroded connector, or replacing a failed sensor
- Repairing air leaks and brake chambers on heavy trucks
Yards also get scheduled work: oil and filters, chassis lube and inspections where the trucks park overnight. Each visit is written up in a digital inspection with photographs and the technician’s notes.
Shop-only jobs and the trip north from River Ridge
Internal engine repairs, transmission rebuilds, alignments and anything that needs a lift happen at 1665 Donto Way. When a mobile visit ends that way, the diagnosis is already done, so the truck goes from River Ridge to Brooksville with a plan: east on the Ridge Road Extension, north on the Parkway, east on SR-50. Pickup owners can see what happens in the shop on our River Ridge truck repair page.
RDI Fleet accounts have 24/7 roadside coverage, explained on our roadside assistance page, and anyone else can call (352) 433-3800 during weekday hours. How our mobile program works across Central Florida is on the mobile diesel repair page. For trucks stopped north of Ridge Road, along the narrower part of CR 587, see Moon Lake mobile diesel repair.
