When the founders of Masaryktown bought their land in 1924, the purchase ignored the county line: about 9,500 acres in Hernando and 14,500 in Pasco. Today’s census boundary sits on the Hernando side only, but the line still runs right along the town’s southern edge as County Line Road, with Shady Hills on the Pasco side. A fleet based here may well work both counties, and RDI Fleet, RDI Power’s fleet program, is set up to maintain it that way.
Fleets on both sides of County Line Road
An operation that parks trucks in Masaryktown and runs them into Pasco does not need 2 maintenance relationships. One RDI Fleet plan covers every unit, wherever it parks, with mobile technicians visiting the yards and the Brooksville shop handling work that needs a lift. Light, medium and heavy duty trucks, trailers and buses each get their own intervals inside that plan.
The plan starts with your operation, your budget, the number of units and what they are. We list each truck with its engine, mileage or hours and what it does all day, then set intervals by miles, hours or calendar time to match. Units that need annual DOT inspections get them booked alongside their PM.
Where RDI started, and why US-41 fleets fit it
Before RDI Power had a building, owner Ryan Bethell worked out of a service truck, driving to fleets anywhere from Brooksville down to Tampa. Masaryktown lies between those 2 places, on US-41 about 9 miles south of the county seat, and the habits from those years still shape how RDI Fleet works: go to the trucks when that saves the customer time, diagnose to the root cause, and write down everything.
In practice, that means a technician can handle oil and filter service, fuel filters, greasing, brake and tire inspections, battery tests and code scans at your Masaryktown yard, along with many repairs. Our article on fleet diesel engine maintenance covers the engine side of that routine in more detail.
Scheduling around the 2026 to 2027 US-41 resurfacing
FDOT’s resurfacing of US-41 runs from south of County Line Road to south of Powell Road, right through Masaryktown, with construction scheduled to begin in late 2026 and finish around summer 2027. For a fleet, that changes the math on shop visits. We can shift more routine work to your yard during those months, time any shop visits for the 7:00 AM opening, and keep an eye on units that spend a lot of time idling in the work zone, since slow miles load the particulate filter and add engine hours faster than mileage.
What each Masaryktown unit gets from RDI Fleet
Every visit, at the yard or in the shop, produces a digital inspection with photos and the technician’s notes, filed by unit. Fleet accounts get priority scheduling when something breaks between visits, roadside assistance 24/7 when a truck stops after hours, and the 2-year / 24,000-mile RDI Fleet warranty on repairs.
The full program is described on our RDI Fleet page. Heavy trucks on a Masaryktown plan are covered on semi truck repair in Masaryktown, and operators across the line can read fleet maintenance in Shady Hills. Call (352) 433-3800 with a rough list of your units, and we will build the plan from there.
