A diesel pickup in Masaryktown can reach Pasco County by crossing County Line Road, head west toward Spring Hill on the Ayers Road bypass, or run north on US-41 to Brooksville. Each route asks something a little different of the truck, and from late 2026 into 2027 the US-41 route will include a long FDOT work zone. RDI Power repairs those pickups at our shop about 16 minutes north, with dealer-level software and photos of everything we find.
Ayers Road and County Line Road: Masaryktown’s cross-county runs
The Ayers Road Extension (CR-576) carries traffic around Masaryktown and west toward Spring Hill, and it is planned as the first piece of a 10.8-mile, 4-lane corridor out to US-19. County Line Road (CR-578) follows the Hernando and Pasco line along the town’s southern edge. If your pickup splits its week between job sites on both sides of that line, it sees a bit of everything: highway speeds, stop signs and rural turns, often with a trailer.
That mixed duty is easiest on a truck that is maintained on the severe-service schedule in the owner’s manual, not the normal one. Towing, idling and short trips all count as severe service, and they shorten the safe interval for oil, fuel filters and transmission fluid.
Work-zone miles on US-41 through Masaryktown
FDOT’s resurfacing project covers 4.4 miles of US-41, from south of County Line Road to south of Powell Road, with construction scheduled to start in late 2026 and finish around summer 2027. Slow traffic through a work zone is not harmful by itself, but a modern diesel needs heat and steady load to keep its particulate filter clean. Weeks of crawling commutes can interrupt regenerations, load the filter and let soot build up in the EGR system. Watch for:
- Regenerations that come closer together, or a cooling fan and idle speed that stay high after you park
- A DPF or soot warning on the dash
- Fuel economy that drops without an obvious cause
- A derate that clears after a restart and then returns
Our article on DPF and regen problems explains why this happens and how it gets fixed for good.
Power Stroke, Cummins, Duramax and Titan XD work for Masaryktown owners
Ford trucks are diagnosed with Ford IDS and Ram trucks with WiTECH, so module data and factory tests are available here without a dealership visit. Our Ford specialist has more than 30 years of Ford dealership experience behind him, which helps across the Power Stroke line, from the 7.3 to the 6.7. Duramax pickups, the Nissan Titan XD with its 5.0L Cummins V8 and Sprinter vans are regular work.
Whatever the badge, the sequence holds: scan, test, prove, then repair. A digital inspection with photos and technician notes reaches you before anything is approved, and labor on a Masaryktown pickup repair carries a 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty. The complete list of pickup work is on the light duty diesel truck repair page.
If the truck will not start or should not be driven, ask for a technician to come out; mobile diesel repair in Masaryktown explains how that works. Owners just across County Line Road can read truck repair in Shady Hills.
