Jasmine Estates grew up fast. A photograph in the University of South Florida’s collection, dated 1970 and titled House, Jasmine Estates, shows homes already standing, and that year the census counted 2,967 residents. By 1980 there were 11,995. By 2020 the count was 21,525, packed into about 3.6 square miles between US 19 and Little Road. Whatever diesel you run there, RDI Power’s shop is about 29 road miles north in Brooksville. Mobile technicians close the gap for trucks that should not make the drive.
Jasmine Estates, a 1970s boom suburb between US 19 and Little Road
The neighborhoods inside the census boundary include Embassy Hills and Regency Park, and their main streets are working roads. Ridge Road (CR 524) becomes a 4-lane commercial arterial here, about 2.5 miles east of Port Richey. Regency Park Boulevard (CR 77) and Galen Wilson Boulevard carry local traffic, and Little Road curves into the community at the Jasmine Boulevard signal. US 19 runs along the west side, with Gulf View Square Mall, opened in 1980, just over the line in Port Richey. Lake Lisa Community Park and Fox Hollow Elementary sit inside the community, and Pasco schools’ West Bus Compound is next door on Pinehill Road in Port Richey.
Addresses mail as Port Richey in ZIP 34668, apart from a sliver on the east edge that falls in New Port Richey’s 34654. Jasmine Estates is unincorporated and has no city hall of its own, but it does have a public works side. GOPASCO, Pasco County’s bus system, lists its headquarters at 8620 Galen Wilson Boulevard; the county’s Community Services Complex is mapped here; and so are the Embassy Hills Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Fox Hollow filtration basins. In short, this is the corner of west Pasco where transit and utility operations sit right next to the subdivisions.
Jasmine Estates to Donto Way: US-19 or the Ridge Road Extension
The measured route from central Jasmine Estates follows Regency Park Boulevard to US-19, then heads north through Bayonet Point and Hudson into Hernando County before turning east on SR-50 (Cortez Boulevard) to Brooksville. That is about 29 road miles and close to 45 minutes in normal traffic.
There is a second option. Ridge Road runs east to Moon Lake Road, where the Ridge Road Extension carries on 4.2 miles to a diamond interchange with the Suncoast Parkway, open to 2-way traffic since the last day of 2021. From there the Parkway runs north to SR-50. For a healthy truck it trades US-19’s signals for tolls; for a sick one, call before choosing either.
Short trips on Ridge Road and Regency Park Boulevard in Jasmine Estates
A dense suburb with commercial streets produces a particular kind of diesel trouble. A truck that lives on short errands rarely gets its exhaust hot long enough for a full regeneration, so the particulate filter keeps loading and the truck keeps trying. On some engines, regens that start and stop over and over can also leave fuel in the crankcase, which shows up as an oil level that creeps up between changes. EGR valves gather soot, and batteries that never get a long charging run lose ground.
None of that means a diesel is the wrong truck for Jasmine Estates. It means the maintenance should match the driving: fuel filters and the water separator on schedule, the severe service oil interval, and attention when the regen pattern changes. When fuel economy slides or the dash starts asking for a regen more often, the filter is telling you it is losing ground.
How a Jasmine Estates diesel repair runs
You describe it. When did it start, and does it happen cold or hot, loaded or empty, in town or on the highway? Those answers shorten the diagnosis.
We prove it. Factory-level software (Ford IDS for Ford, WiTECH for Ram and Stellantis) reads codes and live data, then the suspect system gets a direct test: fuel pressure, boost, injector balance, a cooling system pressure test or a smoke test on the intake.
You see it. A photo report with the technician’s notes reaches you before you approve any work.
We fix the cause. The repair targets the root cause, and our labor warranty covers it for 3 years / 36,000 miles.
The people doing that work have seen a lot of trucks. Our service advisor spent 35 years as a technician at a Chevrolet dealership before moving to the counter, and our Ford specialist logged more than 30 years at a Ford dealership. For a Jasmine Estates owner making a 45-minute trip, that experience matters, because nobody wants a second drive up US-19 for the same problem.
The work spans light, medium and heavy duty trucks, buses and diesel pushers, with Power Stroke, Duramax, Cummins, Caterpillar (RDI Power is Caterpillar certified), Detroit and Volvo engines. As a Bosch dealer we handle fuel injection with Bosch and Alliant Power components. Every system and engine family we handle is listed under diesel service and repair.
Mobile visits and the other Jasmine Estates pages
Mobile technicians come to yards, job sites and roadside locations, which makes a lot of sense at this distance. A no-start, an air leak or a failed sensor can often be fixed where the truck sits, and if the job needs a lift, the diagnosis is done before the tow. Fleet accounts have 24/7 roadside assistance. Pickup owners can go straight to Jasmine Estates truck repair, and the mobile diesel repair page for Jasmine Estates lists the landmarks that help a technician find you. Neighbors just north can read about the SR-52 route on Bayonet Point diesel repair, and the rest of the county is on our Pasco County page.
Give the shop a call at (352) 433-3800, weekdays 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the symptom and the truck’s location.
