SR 50 crosses the north side of Ridge Manor, US 301 runs down the east side, US 98 follows the west, and Hernando County’s only I-75 interchange sits about 3 miles beyond. It is a highway crossroads and, through about 2028, an active construction corridor, so a diesel owner here plans routes as carefully as repairs. Ridge Manor: Hernando County land, Dade City mail
Ridge Manor had 4,743 residents in the 2020 Census, and it straddles 2 orbits. It is in Hernando County, yet most addresses mail under ZIP 33523, a Dade City postal code, with an eastern slice under Webster’s 33597. The Lakewood community, with the Ridge Manor Community Center on Lakewood Drive, is part of it. So is the site of the ghost town of Rital, along US 98 and SR 50 near the Withlacoochee State Trail, on the old Pemberton Ferry rail branch. The trail crosses US 98 and SR 50 on a pedestrian bridge and has a trailhead on Croom-Rital Road, the old State Road 39. The Croom Tract of the Withlacoochee State Forest lies to the north, Cypress Lake Preserve sits nearby, and the Withlacoochee River winds through the south and west of the community.

Cortez Boulevard, McKethan Road and Treiman Boulevard
Each highway has its own name and its own role:
- SR 50 (Cortez Boulevard) runs east to west across the north side. It is now 4 lanes divided from McKethan Road to US 301, and FDOT has also widened it east of US 301 toward the Sumter County line, with new bridges over the CSX railroad.
- US 301 (Treiman Boulevard) runs north to Bushnell and south to Dade City, alongside the CSX Wildwood Subdivision north of SR 50. FDOT is widening it to 4 divided lanes, with a new Withlacoochee River bridge, through an estimated finish in fall 2028.
- US 98 (McKethan Road) runs south from SR 50 toward Dade City along the west side.
- County Road 575 (Burwell Road) heads south to the river and the Pasco County line.
Work zones mean lane shifts, uneven pavement and more braking, and that is hard on brakes, steering parts and tires whatever the truck is.
How a Ridge Manor diesel gets diagnosed on Donto Way
Start with the decision to drive. The trip west on Cortez Boulevard crosses I-75 at Exit 301 and runs through Hill ’n Dale, 17 miles in all. A truck with a steady warning light that otherwise runs normally can usually make it.
